Wet Weather Procedure's
UPDATED PROCEDURE. READ BELOW.
Check Ray Frawley Fields Closure Here | Moreton Bay Regional Council Grounds Closures Here
Please check the above links for any ground conditions. If the MBRC (Council) CLOSE the western fields, we will inform all coaches and managers of alternative arrangements.
We are able to utilize the eastern fields (behind the clubhouse) for any club training from 4.30pm so if the western fields are closed the club will seek approval for training on the eastern fields and if granted we will allow training on these other fields.
If a decision is made to announce a total cancellation of training or to close one field over another the “Facilities Coordinator” will make the announcement accordingly via an email to all coaches and managers, who will then need to advise their team’s parents via email/phone. So if you hear nothing by 4pm, then assume its business as usual and training is on. If in doubt, contact your team coach or manager/s.
The wet weather procedure for game days is up to the home club. Clubs can cancel the games on Friday/Saturday night or the morning of game day. If a club decide to cancel on Saturday/Sunday morning, they should ring our club “President” (Brian Hetherington) by 7am at which time he will start to make contact with team coaches/managers starting with U6/U10, depending on the day. He will send an email out and try to make phone contact to coaches and/or managers. From there, it is the coaches/manager's responsibility of each team to make contact with their own team. We will also place on our facebook page -Redcliffe rugby.
Bottom line in all wet weather procedures is to assume that the game is still on unless you hear something to the contrary - contact your team coach/manager if you need to confirm.
For more info, there is a Wet Weather Procedure document at www.bjru.com.au - Resources - Wet Weather Procedure, the bjru web site also post a notice of closed fields for that given day.
